BAKLAVA, INSTANT PERSONAL PARADE, HO STO, DANGER PUDDING, CHOCOLATE STUFF, DARTS, BALLOONS What was planned as a nice little quiet party at TeanaJanice's abode, busted loose the weekend of September 20-22, as the County of Spartanburg, SC saw STQs rollin' deep in the par-tay department! After a stroll through the Greek Festival, where we pigged on stuff no one can pronounce while adoring fans kept approaching, recognizing our covey. But when it was time to head on down the road, the shuttle bus to the cars was nowhere to be found! BSTQ sweet-talked a Piedmont Natural Gas tech into chauffeuring us back to the parking lot, some two miles away. Can we say "Instant Personal Parade"? Perched atop the cab of his truck, BSTQ with the covey standing on the back of the flatbed, paraded down a main boulevard of Sparkle City flinging beads! YES WE HAD BEADS WITH US! Doesn't HRH Jill tell us to be prepared? Then on to the Ho Stos, with the proprietor shrieking "You're QUEENS!!!!" as we enter the store-- TeaCake gets a new tiara, some fab earrings and hot pink deb gloves. Then onto the Miss America party with balloons, 'ritas, tons of food, chocolate stuff, brownies, on and on. Whenever they'd break for commercials, we'd pop in the tape from "The Other Half" Thanks Debutante!). Every time Miss Alabama was mentioned we'd pop in the Dr. Bukk teeth!! Bless her heart, she needs some dental work! TeanaLisa's hometown girl, Miss Illinois won, so she won the door prize-- An Advance Reader's Copy of GSTSPQs!
