Christmas season lets Queens celebrate in style
Deep blue skies and temperatures around 40 greeted the STQs this year at the Spartanburg Christmas Parade. With the float all decked out for the season, the Queens were a hit with the spectators.

First Cowpens Christmas parade in 40 years welcomes STQs
The Queens enjoyed another great parade on the day after the Spartanburg parade. This November 27th was cold with just a few unofficial snow flurries dancing about, but the spectators enjoyed the show with the STQs dancing to a disco Christmas beat.

Queens fling tea and shake fringe at Boiling Springs festival

With the sounds of festive music and and a perfect October day, the Queens make their debut at the Boiling Springs Fall In The Park festival. With our booth located right across from center stage, the STQs found themselves getting a groove on to George Jones as often as Beyonce, but the enthusiastic crowd and fun-filled spirits make for a great day.

STQs get saucy as thousands cheer at Hendersonville's Apple Festival
With ominous clouds signaling the approach of Hurricane Frances, the weather cooperated just long enough as the Queens danced for a packed crowd. The reception was fabulous at our second appearance at this premier parade. Backordered fabric prevented our newest Queens from donning the green sequins, but the spirit more than made up for that.

Peach Festival: A great parade that keeps getting better

Our third year at the Gaffney Peach Festival parade was as fresh and juicy as ever! Playing music and shimmying to a very responsive
crowd, our 2004 roster of Queens continues to grow as two more came aboard for their test run. "Teana Lynn" and "Duct Tape" rode in the
skybox of the good ship "Hunnylee", our float and just couldn't stay in their seats. With "Honda Rhonda" geting her sea legs for theis event, she was ready to boogie down!

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has never had a group of finer ladies in his company. Bill Clinton could only wish.
And to prove that the Queens are legal and above-board, one of South Carolina's finest looks on in obvious approval.
Yes boys, dreams do come true. Say no more.

Cowpens comes to life as the Queens make mighty moves

The Cowpens Mighty Moo parade christened the start of the 2004 parade season for the Sweet Tea Queens with a receptive crowd and Shriners in abundance. With new Queens and veterans returning, the mood was jubilant and just a tad naughty.

Queens delight crowd at Rascal's Clubhouse
Selling Mardi Gras beads and dancing for throngs of Harley riders....  Yeah, that's our idea of a good time! And a good time it was as the STQs came together at Rascal's Clubhouse in Spartanburg for the party at the end of the H-D Klub's Poker Run on July 31st. With the band "Piedmont Airlines" from Shelby on stage, the queens did a little dance to "Brick House" and sold scores of Mardi Gras beads to raise funds for the Children's Advocacy Center in Spartanburg.

New Queens help kick off '04 parade season
Along with veteran members, newly enlisted Queens partied down in a celebration on June 6th that went on
into the wee hours. Starting at Nacho Mama's, on to Hala's Grill and then to L'il D'z where "unusual" dancing styles were the highlight of the night.

Along the way, the group stopped by the Converse College monument so famous with the locals.

Spring Fling '04 brings fun but no sun

The weather tried it's best NOT to cooperate for the 2004 version of Spartanburg's Spring Fling festival
in the first weekend of May, but despite Mother Nature's fling, the Queens raised $347 for Relay For Life thanks to The Beacon Drive-In's donation of tons of iced tea.

Southern Culture On The Skids CD release concert

Teana Nicole joins in the celebration as our favorite band releases their new CD "Mojo Box"

As busy as we've been and the band's been, we haven't crossed paths in a while, but all that changed at Horizon Records in Greenville on February 18th. Dancing on stage to "Daddy Was A Preacher But Momma Was a Go-Go Girl" like she meant it, T-Nic got a Queenly up-close-and-personal visitation with Rick, Mary and Dave.
